Residential Projects

We have partnered with a Nicaraguan organization called La Casa de La Mujer, where Mano en Mano puts up part of the money to rebuild a home and Casa de la Mujer puts the rest of the money together for building. Before rebuilding, these homes are usually barely standing and put together with scraps of rusty metal and wood, with mud floors. These homes are particularly difficult to live in considering Nicaragua’s tropical climate and constant rainfall with leaks coming in through the roof and seeping into the muddy floors. After rebuilding, these houses are built with a tall concrete foundation, walls, and a leak-free roof.
